From a Refugee’s Journey to a Father’s New Venture

For over 31 years, I’ve proudly called Livermore home. My journey began as a young refugee from Cambodia, eventually leading me to a career serving our community as a Livermore Police Officer, followed by nearly two decades as a local Realtor and owner of Mony Nop Real Estate.

Throughout my life, I’ve always believed in hard work, building relationships, serving others, and finding opportunities to make a difference.

Floors by Mony began with something simple: conversations between a father and his son. My son, Ryan Nop, works in the flooring industry as an Account Manager, serving more than 60 flooring stores. Over the course of two months, Ryan and I spent countless hours talking about flooring products, the industry, and the opportunity to bring quality flooring at exceptional value to homeowners and trade professionals.

The more I learned, the more I realized how naturally this business complemented my real estate career. After all, helping people improve their homes has been part of my professional life for nearly two decades.

With Ryan’s industry knowledge, my entrepreneurial spirit, and a shared commitment to customer service, Floors by Mony was born.

For me, this business is about more than flooring. It’s about family, relationships, trust, and continuing to serve the community that has given my family so much.
